Universal’s Showing in the Big League
Universal Arches has just signed a deal to sponsor St Helens Rugby League Club pitch side at their state of the art stadium at Langtree Park, just a stones through away from the bending sector market leader.
The club known affectionately as the ‘Saints’ have a history that dates back to 1873 and in more recent times in 2012 moved to the new purpose built stadium at Langtree Park in February 2012 and opposite Universal Arches 24,000sq ft facility. Paul Sculthorpe MBE, one of the most famous and distinguished players in recent times for the Saints and former captain was also on hand to meet Leon Day, managing director of Universal Arches.
With a 21 year history in the bending sector in the same premises, albeit extended, Universal Arches has a long established reputation in the area and the opportunity to support the local rugby league team has gone down well within the workforce. This now extends to 53 members of staff as the company continues to grow strongly, now dominating the sector thanks to their product quality, willingness to invest and overall product expertise.
Leon Day, managing director of Universal Arches commented: ‘It’s great to be able to support the St Helens Rugby League Club pitch side, which is on full view for our workforce to see either at the ground or on the television. Our roots are set firmly in the area as is our workforce who have helped shaped the company into the overwhelmingly strong position we have today.’
